We in Delaware got a lot of snow yesterday.So much so that the gov called a state of emergency,my company closed down the shop and the local bishop told area Catholics that they did not have to go to church on Sunday.

THIS IS TRULY DRASTIC!

Many Catholics know that missing the Sunday obligation is a moral sin. At least that is what I have read.

The tough part is that the snow covered roads will force me to get down an dirty with my very late Christmas shopping which I have not started yet!

Hopefully Monday will be the day.Or Tuesday.

Lifeline To Circuit City Cut!

Well Circuit City is no more! The hard pressed big ticket electronics outlet got blown up when they failed to find a fool to buy the chain. This means that equally troubled Best Buy reigns has king of the electronic gaget big box stores. For me its a shame because I perfered Circuit City over Best Buy.Circuit City however never truly grasped the idea of convienence until it was too late. They used salesmen as their chief selling tool not checkout stations. That is exactly why I prefered Circuit City howver these salespeople were hard to attract and most Americans would rather wait

several minutes in line then hear the maintainence spieals from salesmen.Good Buy,CC.

Graffiti Around The Town Part One

I have deciced to begin a graffiti watch list. I will be taking pics of sites in the area that have been spoile by

graffiti "artist".I hope to be able to tell you that this "art" has been removed. Here is the first site. Its the Canby Park Pool building across from my church,STE.

This building has served the public here in Wilmington for as long as I can remember.Thats 57 years.

Every year some goon tags the building or the old concession stand next to the poll building.The sad part is

that the pool was closed last season (I dont know why) so I fear that this "art" will not be cleaned or painted

over.I will continue to take such pictures just to show where the area is going.

Well today is the day. The long sad journey has ended.Obamanation starts today. Its a very bad day for conservatives,a sad day for Delaware and the nation.Well look I am a American and I intend to give them a chance. With the left wing media poised I assume it will be quite a long time before anything bad comes out about this crew but I will wait and see. The only real news that we will get is from good old Rush and Hannity. Those two are the only people I listen to. I generally do not listen to the nightime banter of other right wing voice casters.

Caroline Kennedy is On a Telling You Tour

Caroline Kennedy jas just started a "listening tour" very simular to Hilarys tour of the same name.

Actually its a "telling you tour." The tour started today as the daughter of the late president will meet with mayors and other Democratic dignitaries in New York State to "tell them" what will be expected of them when they decide to accect her as the new Senator from the State of New York.

Caroline will make sure they know what her uncle Ted Kennedy has done for them and what to expect if they fail to support her. These mayors and other Democrat dignitaries will then send letters and emails to the Democratic Govenor of New York State to demand that he do the right thing and place Carolines name for New York State senator.Then New York State gets another person who is not qualified to sit in the most important lesitlative body in the free world.

Here's A Good Idea...Delete Your Unused Podcasts

I just took a look at my ITunes podcast listing.I usually do this to check to see if there are any podcast that have failed to update in a reasonable amount of time.I clicked on the down triangle on one of the podcasts and I fould many unused or unseen(unheard) podcasts.

I do not know what effect these lost podcasts have on my computer but I figured that anything keeping space on my computer that I am not using is bad I figured that I might want to trash these unused podcasts.

I do this by highlighting a podcast,hitting the shift key(keep your finger on the key) and highlight all unused podcast.Right click on the highlighted podcast and hit delete. ITunes will ask you if you want to remove the podcast from your Ipod and if you want to trash these podcast.

It can't jurt,can it?

Communal Blessing

I always love going to Mass.No where is life as shocking as my one hour in my local Catholic Church. Today's voyage had considerable shock value. Just a point or two about what kind of Catholic I am. Conservative. I believe that the Mass is a holy thing.This holy thing should never be tampered with.That's why I was so shocked at today's Mass.The Catholic Mass has a beginning,a middle and an end.Each part set up to keep the next part vital and important.The last part of the Mass is where Catholics say goodbye until the next Sunday.The priest offers the parish news and there might be a speaker to push whatever parish or Catholic organization that needs to be pushed.

At today's Mass the other priest in the parish announced that he was going to a Middle Eastern country to administer to American troops,he is a chaplain.At the end of his short goodbye the priest saying the Mass said that we were going to offer a blessing for the priest going away.So I lowered my head to hear the blessing(a short prayer followed by In The Name etc)and when I raised up to see I was shocked. Many of the people has their arms out like sleep walkers and their hands were palms down like they were pretending to give absolution to an imaginary person. I could not believe what I was seeing. You see our church is becoming more like what we used to call Protestant.I always thought of the Protestant church as a church where everyone is a preacher. We all lay on hands,we all sing praise,that sort of thing.Catholics have the priest to do this.Until now.Apparently it is now OK for anyone in the Catholic Church. It seems that it is now OK to even do a communal blessing. In other words even pretending to do the blessing,the laying down of hands on a fake person,is OK. Well I will not do that! Only the priest can bless.That's the way I am and that's the way I will stay.Hands at my side partner.
